Even though I don’t prescribe the 12 Step approach for everyone, these 2 books are wonderful daily reads for those committed to finding freedom from managing others and living in serenity while loving an addict or alcoholic. Various writers have contributed. They’re filled with excellent offerings on how to pause so we respond instead of reacting, how to love with detachment, to be vigilant on minding our own business, to forgive ourselves & others, to break free from the cycle of fear and worry and live in contentment, and to know when to advocate and when to step back.
